We took part in the 26th µElektra Technical Talent Festival, held at the Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic School Complex (ZSMEiE) in Toruń.
The festival genuinely brings education and business together. Technical school pupils can make their first professional connections, and companies can meet future specialists. The event also included an Open Day, when prospective pupils and their parents could get to know the school and the courses it offers.
One of the festival's attractions was the KUKA KR 90 R2700 industrial robot, which came to the school with our team. The robot moved cardboard boxes and drew on a whiteboard, and pupils could have a go at controlling it themselves.
The pupils presented their competition projects, often the result of months of work, testing and refinement. As event partner, we presented awards to the best of them:
- 1st place: Roman Kępiński – “Driving simulator and 3D printer”
- 2nd place: Mateusz Szulczewski and Patryk Urbańczyk – “Robotic cell simulation”
- 3rd place: Weronika Pawłowska and Mateusz Szulczewski – “Space habitat”
- Highly commended: Jakub Bożek – “KUKA KR350 robot model”
All the award-winning pupils were also invited to summer work placements with us – a chance to work on real projects and see how we work from the inside. We believe the best way to learn is on the job.
